A report published by Pinkvilla suggests that director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is set to begin filming Spirit, his upcoming action thriller with actor Prabhas, by October 2025. The film is billed as a serious cop story.

The script, which has reportedly taken over six months to develop, is now complete. Further reports said that Sandeep Vanga asked Prabhas to perform his stunts. The film’s musical sessions began a while ago, with Sandeep and composer Harshavardhan Rameshwar posting a video update. 

Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, and Pranay Reddy Vanga, Spirit will be taken up by Prabhas after he completes major portions of his ongoing projects, The Raja Saab and the untitled Hanu Raghavapudi project. The actor has also been asked to adopt a leaner look for the role.

Casting for other key roles is underway, with discussions ongoing with actors from the United States and South Korea. The makers are said to be aiming for a theatrical release in 2027. After completing Spirit, Vanga is expected to begin work on Animal Park with Ranbir Kapoor.
