Priyadarshi, whose recently release Court - State vs A Nobody emerged as a major commercial success, is coming up with a new film Sarangapani Jathakam. However, the film, previously slated for a theatrical release on April 18, will now hit theatres a week later. The makers confirmed April 25 as the new release date, on Saturday.

In Sarangapani Jathakam, Priyadarshi plays the titular role of Sarangapani, a staunch believer of astrology whose seemingly simple life takes a dramatic turn after a chilling prediction is made about his life. Also starring Roopa Kaduvayur, Vennela Kishore and Harsha Chemudu in primary cast, the film marks the first collaboration between Priyadarshi and director Mohana Krishna Indraganti. Mohana Krishna has made popular films like Ashta Chamma and Sammohanam among many others.

The ensemble cast includes VK Naresh and Tanikella Bharani among others. Sivalenka Prasad is producing the film under Sridevi Movies banner. Vivek Sagar is the music composer for the film. The cinematography is by PG Vinda, and editing by Marthand K Venkatesh.

With its earlier release date, the Priyadarshi starrer would have faced stiff competition from other releases next week like Odela 2 and Arjun S/O Vyjayanthi.
