Mahesh Babu’s 2018 film Bharat Ane Nanu will soon be re-released in theatres again. The political drama, which also starred Kiara Advani, will hit theatres on April 19, to mark the 7th anniversary of the film.

Written and directed by Koratala Siva, Bharat Ane Nanu followed the story of Bharat Ram (Mahesh Babu), a bright Oxford student who returns to India following the demise of his father, who was also the state CM. Soon, Bharat decides to take up his father’s political position, to usher in new socio-political reforms. 

Reportedly made at a budget of 65 crores, the political drama earned approximately 160 crores at the box office. Bharat Ane Nenu also marked the Telugu debut for Kiara Advani. Devi Sri Prasad was the music composer.

Produced under the banner of DVV Entertainment, Bharat Ane Nenu marked the second collaboration between Mahesh Babu and Koratala Siva, who had previously worked together on Srimanthudu (2015). The two have not worked together since.
