Producer-actor Naga Babu attended the 50-day celebration event for Committee Kurrollu, produced by Niharika Konidela. The film, released on August 9, was received well by the audience and critics alike. While speaking about when he completed watching the film, he said, “I started watching the film as my daughter produced it, but when it reached midpoint during that fight on caste-reservation issues, I stopped the film because all these years, after seeing the caste issue too many times, I got tired. I lost all hope thinking people might always be the same and their attitude might be the same towards these communal issues. But today, I finished the rest of the film. It’s wonderful. The interval is a masterpiece.”
Naga Babu appreciated the writer-director Yadhu Vamsi for creating a solid film as his debut feature. Talking about the nostalgic moments in Committee Kurrollu, he said, “I loved the childhood portions of the film. I remembered a lot of my memories. Trying to talk to girls, playing pranks with friends, I enjoyed many scenes. It was hilarious. Even the way they got the age transformation so well is commendable. Committee Kurrollu deserves National Award for its content. Not just in regional category but the proper Best Film National Award. And the fact that director Yadhu Vamsi introduced 14 new actors to the industry is applause-worthy.”
Committee Kurrollu is streaming on ETV Win. The coming-of-age drama has 14 newcomers along with Sai Kumar, Goparaju Ramana and more. The film has music by Anudeep Dev, cinematography by Raju Edurolu and editing by Anwar Ali.
