The makers of the Sudheer Babu starrer Maa Nanna Superhero released their first single on Thursday. The upcoming father-son drama also stars Sayaji Shinde in a prominent role.

Composed by Jay Krish, ‘Nanna’ is an upbeat and heartfelt composition true to its storyline and themes, penned as an ode to the loving and protective father figure. Nazeeruddin is the playback singer for the track, with lyrics by Lakshmi Priyanka. The song video features Sudheer Babu telling many stories about his father’s eccentricities and virtues to a bunch of kids, whilst capturing various slice-of-life moments of the protagonist with his father. 

Maa Nanna Superhero marks the feature film debut of filmmaker Abhilash Kankara, who previously directed the web series Loser. Besides Sudheer Babu and Sayaji Shinde, the film also features Sai Chand, Raju Sundaram and Aamani in the ensemble cast. Sameer Kalyani is the cinematographer, and Anil Kumar P is the editor. 

The official teaser for the film was released on September 12. Produced by Sunil Balasu under V Celluloids banners in association with CAM Entertainments, Maa Nanna Superhero is scheduled for a theatrical release on October 11. 

Sudheer Babu was previously seen in the crime-drama Harom Hara, which released in June.
