The makers of Majaka starring Sundeep Kishan announced on Saturday that actor Ritu Varma is locked as the female lead in the film. The makers made the announcement with a fun video featuring the duo on set, inspired by a popular Chinese meme showcasing a husband's hilarious escape from his wife's slap. The team recently announced the film’s title and are yet to announce a release date. However, reports suggest that they are planning for a Sankranti release.

Making the announcement, the production house wrote, “Welcome the super talented Ritu Varma on board as our Leading Lady. The fresh pairing of People's Star Sundeep Kishan and Ritu Varma is the Heart of Majaka," 

Majaka is directed by Thrinadha Rao Nakkina who has previously helmed Nenu Local (2017), starring Nani, and Dhamaka (2022), starring Ravi Teja. The director who is known for family entertainers joined hands with Sundeep Kishan for the first time. The entertainer is produced by Razesh Danda under the banners of AK Entertainment and Hasya Movies.

The film also stars Rao Ramesh and Anshu Ambani whose last outing was 20 years in the iconic Nagarjuna-starrer Manmadhudu. Majaka has music by Leon James and cinematography by Nizar Shafi. More details are yet to be revealed by the team.
