Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, whose previous release was the period action drama Devil: The British Secret Agent, is working with director Pradeep Chilukuri on his next film, tentatively titled NKR 21. The makers of the film recently commenced a major shoot schedule in Vizag.

The NKR 21 team is planning to shoot some key scenes in this 15-day schedule. The first teaser of the film was released in May this year, followed by a character intro teaser for Vijayashanthi, who is making her comeback to the big screen after five years. NKR 21 also marks a comeback for director Pradeep Chilukuri after eighth years; his last film, Raja Cheyyi Vesthe, released in 2016. Additionally, the film stars Saiee Manjrekar in a key role.

Billed as an action drama, NKR 21 is produced by Ashok Vardhan Muppa and Sunil Balusu under the banners Ashoka Creations and NTR Arts. Ajaneesh Loknath is composing music for the film. The cinematography is by Ram Prasad, while editing is by Thammiraju. Srikanth Vissa is the screenplay writer for the film.
