The official trailer for the upcoming heist-drama Lucky Baskhar was unveiled at a grand ceremony on Monday. Among others, the trailer launch event was attended by Dulquer Salmaan, who plays the titular role in the film produced by Sithara Entertainments.

Directed by Venky Atluri, Lucky Baskhar is Dulquer’s third venture in Telugu cinema, after Mahanati (2018) and Sita Ramam (2022). Talking about why he agreed to do the film, Dulquer stated, “I always have a lot of questions and doubts while hearing scripts; I have a logic metre in my head. However, everything I asked Venky, whether it’s about the banking sector backdrop or something else, he had done a lot of research about it.” Further talking about his character, the Sita Ramam actor stated, “Everyone will connect to Baskhar—I feel 80 percent of our country is like Baskhar, or they know someone like him.”

Lucky Baskhar tells the story of a middle-class banking professional who suddenly becomes rich after planning a heist. On the occasion, producer Naga Vamsi said, “For this film, we have banked more on the high of a man’s new-found wealth than action scenes.”

Also starring Meenakshi Chaudhary in a prominent role, Lucky Baskhar is slated for theatrical release on October 31, clashing with the Kiran Abbavaram starrer KA.
