Reports suggest that Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa 2: The Rule made a record number of 900 crores in pre-release business including OTT and satellite rights. According to reports, the prominent OTT provider Netflix has bought the OTT rights to Pushpa 2. Netflix appears to have acquired the rights to Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam for Rs 270 crore. This makes it one of the most valuable Indian films in terms of digital rights. The production house is yet to make an official declaration about this.
The makers unveiled a countdown special poster featuring Allu Arjun who sits royally on a throne. The period action thriller is coming to the screens on December 6. Written and directed by Sukumar, expectations are sky high for this sequel as the first part, Pushpa: The Rise was a mammoth hit at the box office. Recently the makers announced with a poster that the first half of the film is locked.
Pushpa 2: The Rule, produced by Mythri Movie Makers, has been postponed from its initial August 15 release date. The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Sunil, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Jagadeesh Pratap, Rao Ramesh, Ajay Gosh, Dhananjaya, and others.
Pushpa 2: The Rule's technical crew includes cinematography by Miroslaw Kuba Brozek and music by Devi Sri Prasad, while editors Ruben and Karthika Srinivas were replaced at the last minute by National Award winner Naveen Nooli.
