1980s Radhe Krishna is an upcoming Telugu-Banjara film, which is an intense rural love story set amidst caste factions and naxalism. The makers unveiled the film’s trailer on Thursday, and it promises a rooted and authentic violent story. The 2 minute 50 second trailer runs through the timelines of the 80s giving a glimpse of the socio-politically heated landscape of the village, the harsh casteism and various clashes that propel the main characters played by SS Saidulu, Brahmarambika and Arpitha Lohi to chart a path of violence.
Voodugu Sudhakar has produced the film under the label of SV Creations. 1980s Radhe Krishna is helmed by director Ismail Shaik while the story credits goes to Rajesh Macharla. Speaking about the film, the producer Sudhakar urged the audience to support the film’s effort. The director also said, “In the rural setting of this film, we dealt with the difficulties a beautiful couple face due to differences between castes. We have made a small effort to bring change in every human being and to rid of this caste madness. Please watch and support this film.”
Iliyaz Pasha cranked the camera for 1980s Radhe Krishna while editing was done by SS Saidulu. The film with music by ML Raja is coming to theatres on October 18.
