Jr NTR's Devara: Part 1 has breached a massive feat of Rs 500 crores at the global box office within just 16 days of its release. Directed by Koratala Siva and backed by Yuvarathnaa Arts and NTR Arts, Devara is now in the third position of the highest-grossing Indian films of 2024 list.

Nag Ashwin's historical epic Kalki 2898 AD is at the topmost position, and the second place is held by the Hindi film Stree 2, directed by Amar Kaushik.

Apart from Jr NTR, the film also stars Janhvi Kapoor in her Telugu debut, Saif Ali Khan, Prakash Raj, Kalaiyarasan, Srikanth Meka, Shine Tom Chacko and more.

Our CE review of the film read, "Koratala Siva sets up the foundation for a great spectacle this way, except his filmmaking style is barely in sync with the potential of his material, and that becomes the biggest undoing of Devara. The director clearly has the ambitions for an epic-scale narrative, but the writing doesn't match what he is aiming for in the film. It’s these contrasting elements that let it down."

On the technical crew, Devara has music by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Rathnavelu and production design by Sabu Cyril. The second part of Devara is expected to go on floors after Jr NTR completes his commitments to War 2 and Prashanth Neel’s next.
