Director VN Aditya launched pan-Indian project Phani, starring Catherine Tresa on Wednesday. The film is touted to be an intense thriller. The makers unveiled the title in Dallas where Dr Thotakura Prasad launched the title while noted producer Anil Sunkara unveiled the banner. 

Phani is set to be a thriller based entirely in America. The film has an extended cast of Mahesh Sriram, Neha Krishna, Tanikella Bharani, Kasi Vishwanath, Ranjitha, Yogita, Prashanthi Harathi, Sanya, Akash, Anil Shankaramanchi, Kiran Gudipalli, Bala Karri, and Dayakar. Dr Meenakshi Anipindu is the music director and producer of the film under the banner of OMG Productions. 

Talking about the film, actor Catherine Tresa said, “As soon as I heard the story of Phani, I was eager to take on this role. It’s a challenging character for me, and working with Dr VN Aditya has been a wonderful experience. His dedication to filmmaking is commendable, and I’ve learned so much.”

VN Aditya has helmed films like Manasantha Nuvve (2001) , Nenuunnanu (2004) , and Aata (2007). After a brief hiatus, he is said to be returning with this pan-Indian thriller.
