On Tuesday, popular radio jockey Amritha Pasumarthi posted a video on her social media page, sharing her experiences of being trolled and abused online for posting a video criticising Janhvi Kapoor’s role in the recently released Devara: Part 1.
On Saturday, Amritha had shared a video, jokingly pointing out how Janhvi barely had a few lines of dialogues in Devara, as opposed to the claims by Jr NTR in one of the promotional interviews where he said that the Mili actress had 2-3 pages of dialogues.
The RJ stated in her latest video post, “I had posted a 25 second video after watching Devara, and it blew up. It would be fine, I thought, considering I didnt say anything wrong. However, the hate that I got for the video was so unexpected.” Amritha then mentioned that she received 3200 comments of pure abuse, adding, “I received DMs, messages, calls, and voice notes threatening her, choicest of abuses I had never heard before.”
The RJ admitted to being severely affected by the abusive behaviour, against her expectations. “I broke down a lot of times. How does anyone tolerate so much abuse, I thought to myself.” She also called out Jr NTR fans for bringing a bad name to the beloved star. “Jr NTR definitely would not appreciate you all abusing women out there,” she stated.
RJ Amritha concluded her video by saying, “I won’t be afraid, as long as I know I am not in the wrong.”
