Pushpa 2: The Rule, the upcoming Allu Arjun starrer, has been one of the most anticipated Telugu films of recent times. Now, reports are coming in that the film has locked a runtime of 3 hours 21 minutes.

If the reports are true, this would make Pushpa 2: The Rule the longest Telugu film in the last 15 years, surpassing even SS Rajamouli’s RRR which had a runtime of 3 hours 7 minutes.  The Allu Arjun-starrer, which has been in making for over two years, continues to pique the interest of movie-goers over past many months, due to many speculations about its shoot delays and changes in release plans. Reportedly, the makers recently wrapped up their shoot, 10 days ahead of the film’s release.

Recently, the film’s music director Devi Sri Prasad too made surprising comments about being pressurised to deliver music under strict deadlines, which garnered a lot of attention. Meanwhile, the recently released single from the film, ‘Kissik,’ which features Arjun and Sreeleela in the video, has broken all YouTube streaming records for a Telugu song, accumulating over 25 million hits within the first 24 hours of its release.

Produced by Mythri Movie Makers and directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2: The Rule is slated for a theatrical release on December 5.
