During the Pushpa 2: The Rule event at Chennai, the film’s music composer was openly critical of producers Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar of the Mythri Movie Makers banner. Regarding the recent news about SS Thaman, Ajaneesh Loknath and Sam CS being added as additional composers for the Pushpa: The Rise sequel, the film’s primary music composer, who gave the first part's blockbuster album, said, “We should ask and take what we want, whether it is payment from producers or screen credit. Isn’t it right Bunny (Allu Arjun)? I don’t understand what the problem producer Ravi has with me, he is always critical of everything about me. That I didn't deliver music on time or that I didn’t arrive here on time. Sir, I was kept on hold outside the event, and you know how shy I am off-stage. I am shameless only on stage. What can I do about that?”

The makers launched the third single ‘Kissik’ from the film at the event and Devi Sri Prasad gave a fiery speech addressing the concerns regarding the film’s music credit. Devi Sri Prasad further remarked, “Things like these should openly be discussed like this. Otherwise there’s no kick. I am open as a person.”

Director Sukumar’s highly anticipated Pushpa sequel featuring Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil, and Rashmika Mandanna, is gearing up for its  global release on December 5. The recently unveiled trailer teases a gripping storyline, showcasing the escalating rivalry between Allu Arjun's Pushpa and Fahadh Faasil’s Shikhawat, while also capturing tender moments with Srivalli, portrayed by Rashmika Mandanna.

Produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under the Mythri Movie Makers banner, in association with Sukumar Writings, this sequel builds on the phenomenal success of the 2019 blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise. The ensemble cast includes notable actors such as Sunil, Rao Ramesh, Brahmaji, and Jagadeesh Pratap, adding depth to the narrative. On the technical front, Pushpa 2 has Miroslaw Kuba Brozek handling cinematography and National Award-winning editor Naveen Nooli doing the editing.
