On Saturday, Mani Ratnam unveiled the first look of the upcoming sci-fi thriller Kaliyugam 2064. The film, being planned as a bilingual, is written and directed by Promod Sundar.

Mani Ratnam conveyed his wishes for the success of the film, stating that it presents a unique concept, also expressing his belief in the film resonating with the audiences.  Starring Shraddha Srinath and Kishore in the lead, Kaliyugam 2064 is set in a futuristic world where the narrative explores how humans strive to survive against all adversities. The film promises to delve into the mythological themes of Kali Yuga. 

The supporting cast of the film includes Iniyan Subramani and Harry. Don Vincent is on board as the music director. The cinematography and editing are by K Ram Charan and Nimal, respectively. Tapas Nayak handles the sound design, and Shakti Venkataraju is the art director for the sci-fi thriller.

The visual effects and CGI work for the film were completed in Norway. Produced by K S Ramakrishna under the banner of RK International, the sci-fi adventure thriller is ready for a worldwide release, though the makers are yet to announce a date.

Shraddha, meanwhile, is gearing up for the release of her next film, Mechanic Rocky, which hits theatres on November 22.
