Eminent filmmaker Sekhar Kammula is returning with his next directorial Kubera after a 4-year hiatus. The Dhanush starrer is being jointly produced under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Cinemas and Amigo Creation.

The first glimpse of Kubera briefly establishes its primary characters and the city of Mumbai, which serves as the sinister backdrop for this high-stakes thriller that involves multiple tracks. There are many dynamic visuals of the city at its gritty and evocative best throughout the teaser. Most interestingly, the video ends with Dhanush standing in front of a temple in a drastically different look, as opposed to the rest of the teaser, where he is shown as a desperate, down-in-the-dumps poor man in raggedy clothes, adding further intrigue about the storyline.

Besides starring popular actors like Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna and Jim Sarbh in prominent roles, Kubera also boasts of a strong technical team, with Niketh Bommi helming the cinematography and Thota Tharani in charge of production design. Additionally, Karthika Srinivas serves as the editor. Devi Sri Prasad is the music director for the film, marking his first collaboration with Sekhar Kammula.

Besides Telugu, Kubera will also release in Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi and Kannada. The makers of Kubera are yet to set a release date for their film.
