Sudheer Babu’s Maa Nanna Superhero, which had a theatrical release in October, will have its OTT premiere on the streamer Zee5. The film, which also stars Sai Chand and Sayaji Shinde in prominent roles, will begin streaming on the said platform on Friday, November 15.

Co-written and directed by Abhilash Reddy Kankara, Maa Nanna Superhero told the story of Johnny (Sudheer Babu) and how his quest to save his adoptive father (Sayaji) ends up reuniting him with his biological father Prakash (Sai Chand), who had to abandon Johnny many years ago due to many adversities and is now hoping to reunite with him. In our review for the film, we had noted, "Abhilash's script lacks the necessary thoroughness to bring out the emotional core of the story at hand. The emotional punches do not land well because the characters and their interpersonal dynamics aren’t etched out with enough depth.”

The supporting cast of Maa Nanna Superhero included actors like Aarna, Harsha Vardhan, Chandra Vampathy and Raju Sundaram. Raju also worked as a choreographer for one of the song sequences in the film. Jay Krish composed the music. The relationship drama was produced by Sunil Balasu under V Celluloids in association with CAM Entertainment.

Maa Nanna Superhero was Sudheer Babu's second release this year after Harom Hara, which was a violent crime drama.
