Tharun Bhascker is Ambati Omkar Naidu in Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey Telugu remake

The untitled comedy-drama, also featuring Eesha Rebba, has completed its shoot and is gearing up for release soon

The makers of Tharun Bhascker and Eesha Rebba’s upcoming untitled comedy-drama unveiled the first look poster of Tharun who plays Ambati Omkar Naidu. The film is the official Telugu remake of the 2022 dark comedy Malayalam hit, Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey. The original, featuring Basil Joseph and Darshana Rajendran, tells the story of a homemaker who stands up against her abusive husband. Tharun is said to be essaying the role of the husband in the Telugu version. 

The untitled film is being produced under the banner of Movie Verse Studios and S Originals. The latter also produced the recent Nivetha Thomas-starrer 35 - Chinna Katha Kaadu which stood out as one of the most acclaimed Telugu films of 2024. AR Sajeev is making his debut as a director with the film. 

A large part of the film’s shooting took place in Rajahmundry earlier this year. The film’s supporting cast includes actors like Brahmaji among others. Jay Krish is the music director for the project, while Deepak Yeragara handled the cinematography. The makers are yet to reveal more details about the film.
