Vijay Deverakonda is currently busy shooting VD12 directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. His next with director Rahul Sankrityan is tentatively referred to as VD14, and is touted to be a period war drama set in colonial India about an untold story of a king.

Reports suggest that the makers approached South African actor Arnold Vosloo remembered for his iconic negative roles in The Mummy (1999) and The Mummy Returns (2001). The makers are yet to make an official announcement but sources suggest that the role will be a crucial one.  This is the second instance where an international actor is starring in Vijay Deverakonda’s film since the debut of Mike Tyson in Puri Jagannadh’s Liger

Mythri Movie Makers is bankrolling the project. Vijay Deverakonda and Rahul Sankrityan previously collaborated on Taxiwaala (2018) which is a horror sci-fi comedy. This film set to go on floors in early 2025.
