We had recently reported that Vedhika will be seen in an upcoming web series on Disney + Hotstar, titled Yakshini. On Thursday, the makers released a new set of character posters from their series, also introducing other cast members like Ajay, Manchu Lakshmi, and Rahul Vijay.

While Rahul plays a bachelor named Krishna, Lakshmi plays Jwala, described as the 'mysterious one’ in the social media posts. Ajay, meanwhile, plays Mahakal.

Reportedly set against ancient lore as a modern-day romance, Yakshini tells the story of Krishna, a hopeless romantic longing for true love, and Maya, a Yakshini bound to Earth by an ancient curse. Maya's quest to save her clan by eliminating a hundred men intertwines fatefully with Krishna's life.

Yakshini is directed by Teja Marni, who gained recognition with films like Johaar (2020), Arjuna Phalguna, (2021), and Kota Bommali PS (2023). Jointly produced by Shobhu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni under the Arka Media Works banner, the upcoming series will be released in a total of 7 languages: Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, Marathi, Malayalam, and Kannada.

Yakshini will begin streaming in June on the streaming platform Disney+ Hotstar, although the makers have not announced a release date yet.
