Vedhika is headlining a web series titled Yakshini. The fantasy drama will begin streaming in June on the streaming platform Disney+ Hotstar, although the makers have not announced a release date yet.

The actor shared a poster of the series on her X page, with the caption, “Men, beware! Yakshini is coming for you! The hunt for her last prey begins soon! Yakshini only on Disney Plus Hotstar.” The actor also informed through her post that the upcoming series will be released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, Marathi, Malayalam, and Kannada.

Reportedly set against ancient lore and modern-day romance, Yakshini tells the story of Krishna, a hopeless romantic longing for true love, and Maya, a Yakshini bound to Earth by an ancient curse. Maya's quest to save her clan by eliminating a hundred men intertwines fatefully with Krishna's life.

The show’s primary cast also includes names like Manchu Lakshmi, Rahul Vijay and Ajay. Yakshini will be directed by Teja Marni, who gained recognition with films like Johar (2020), Arjuna Phalguna, (2021), and Kota Bommali PS (2023).

Yakshini is being jointly produced by Shobhu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni under the Arka Media Works banner. The production banner had earlier collaborated with Disney+ Hotstar on the shows Parampara and Parampara 2.
