Veteran comedian Brahmanandam and his son Raja Goutham will soon appear together in a film titled Brahma Anandam. The makers of the film made an official announcement on Tuesday.

Brahma Anandam will be directed by debutant RVS Nikhil from his own screenplay. Rahul Yadav Nakka is producing the film under the Swadharm Entertainments banner. The banner has earlier made films like Malli RavaAgent Sai Srinivasa Athreya, and Masooda.

The makers also released a tongue-in-cheek announcement video on the occasion, featuring Brahmanandam and Vennela Kishore engaged in a game of chess when Goutham comes to inform the former about his next film project, asking him to play the grandfather’s role. Brahmanandam is annoyed at first but eventually agrees to do the role.

Brahma Anandam promisingly follows the evolving relationship of a self-centred young boy, Brahma (Goutham), and his kind-hearted and compassionate grandfather, Anand Ram (Brahmanandam), as they embark on a journey together.

The film also stars Priya Vadlamani, Aishwarya Holakkal, and Vennela Kishore in the supporting cast. Sandilya Pisapati has been signed as the music composer for the film. The cinematography and editing will be by Mitesh Parvathaneni and Prasanna, respectively.

Brahma Anandam will soon go on the shooting floors. It is slated for a theatrical release on December 6.
