Nikhil Siddharth, who rose to prominence with Karthikeya 2, will next be seen in the mythological drama Swayambhu. According to the actor, the makers are busy shooting a major action sequence currently. He shared a new still from the sequence, with the caption, “Swayambhu Special Big Screen Experience Loading...Shooting for some Crazy War Action Scenes.. More Surprises soon, including one of the world's Best technicians and filmmakers joining the team.”

Reportedly, it is a 12-day schedule, mounted on a mammoth budget of 8 crores. The war sequence is filmed on two big sets and will feature approximately 700 artists, including Vietnamese fighters. 

In the new still, the actor can be seen in a back pose, staring at the crowd, before entering the fight ring. The production design and the vast background of spectators hint at a grand action film.

Swayambhu, written and directed by Bharat Krishnamachari, also marks the 20th feature film for Nikhil. The film also features Samyukhtha Menon and Nabha Natesh in prominent roles. It is being produced by Vamsi and Sreekar under the banner of Pixel Studios, as well as presented by Tagore Madhu. Manoj Paramahansa is shooting Swayambhu, with music direction by Salaar fame Ravi Basrur.

The makers of Swayambhu are aiming for a pan-India release, with dubs in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
