Confirming speculations about the upcoming Krish-Anushka Shetty collaboration, the makers of the said film announced their project on Tuesday. Titled Ghaati, the film will be jointly produced by UV Creations and First Frame Entertainments. The makers of the film have also unveiled the film's poster. The protagonist of the film is seen draped in a saree, covering her face with a shawl.

The official announcement of the film describes Ghaati as a “gripping tale of revenge, redemption and retribution where a victim turned criminal rises to a status of legend. Anushka plays an authoritative character in this female-centric movie.” 

Ghaati is written by Chintakindi Srinivas Rao, Krish Jagarlamudi and Burra Sai Madhav, while Vamsi and Rajiv Reddy serve as the film's producers. The makers of the film also announced that Ghaati has been acquired by Prime Video. The film will be available to watch on the streaming platform, post its theatrical release. Details of cast and crew members will be announced soon. 

Meanwhile, Anushka was last seen in Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty opposite Naveen Polishetty. She is also set to make her Malayalam debut in Kathanar: The Wild Sorcerer, later this year.
