After multiple postponements, Hanu Man is finally streaming on ZEE5. The film’s original runtime is 2 hours 38 minutes long. While the Hindi version of the film, which is streaming separately on the Jio Cinema platform, has a runtime consistent with the theatrical cut, the Telugu OTT cut in ZEE5 is 8 minutes shorter.

Hanu Man, which was released on January 12, during the Sankranti season, emerged as a blockbuster in the box office, while garnering critical acclaim for its rendition of a homegrown superhero universe. The film continues to run in theatres, OTT release notwithstanding. 

Hanu Man is a superhero film directed by Prashanth Varma. The film is set in the fictitious island town of Anjanadri. Hanu Man is also the first part of the Prashanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU). The film stars Teja Sajja in the titular role. Bigil-fame actor Amritha Aiyer is the film’s female lead. Hanu Man is her maiden Telugu film. While Vinay Rai plays the film’s antagonist,  Varalaxmi Sarathkumar plays Teja’s character Hanumanthudu’s older sister. 

Hanu Man is produced by K Niranjan Reddy of PrimeShow Entertainments. The film has cinematography by Dasaradhi Shivendra, editing by Saibabu Talari and production design by Srinagendhra Tangala. Anudeep Dev, Hari Gowra and Krishna Saurabh have jointly composed the music of the film. The film has reportedly earned more than ₹300 crore in the box office, against a modest budget of ₹40 crore.
