The makers of Market Mahalakshmi released their official trailer on Monday evening. The upcoming romantic comedy stars Parvateesam and Praneekaanvikaa in the lead roles.
By the looks of its trailer, the film tells the story of a young, upper middle-class boy (Parvateesam) who continues to reject marriage proposals, despite much pestering by his father, who wants his son to marry a rich girl. However, our protagonist falls in love with Mahalakshmi (Praneekaanvikaa), a street-smart and independent woman who works as a vegetable vendor. Despite facing an early rejection, the protagonist continues to try and win Mahalakshmi’s heart, even putting up a vegetable shop where Mahalakshmi’s stall is set up.
Praneekaanvikaa, who plays the titular role, is making her acting debut with this film. Meanwhile, Parvateesam last appeared in the 2023 film Gammathu. The film also marks the debut of writer-director VS Mukkhesh.
The film also boasts a massive ensemble cast, including actors like Harsha Vardhan, Mahaboob Basha, Mukku Avinash, Kedar Shankar, Meesam Suresh, and Padma Nimmanagoti, among others. Joe Emnav has composed the music for the film, while the cinematography is by Surendra Chilumula.
