The makers of the upcoming film Kanyakumari released a new single titled ‘Kathilanti Pillave’ on Friday. The romantic drama stars Geeth Saini and Sricharan Rachakonda in the lead roles.

Composed by Ravi Nidamarthi, ‘Kathilanti Pillave’ has a sweet melody and a rustic touch to it. In the song video, the film’s male lead (Sricharan) can be seen trying to woo his ladylove (Geet) against idyllic village locales. It is to be noted that Kanyakumari is set against the backdrop of a small village in Telangana. Damodara Srujan has penned the lyrics for the song, while Dhanunjay Seepana has provided the vocals.

In January, Arjun Reddy actor Vijay Deverakonda officially unveiled the Kanyakumari teaser on his social media page. Kanyakumari is written, produced, and directed by Damodara, who made his directorial debut with the 2021 film Pushpaka Vimanam.

Radical Pictures is the production banner for the film, with Satish Reddy Chinta, Varinia Mamidi, Appala Naidu Attada, and Siddharth A serving as co-producers. The cinematography is jointly handled by Siva Gajula and Haricharan K, while Naresh Adupa is the editor.

The makers have yet to announce an official release date for the film.
