The makers of Narne Nithiin starrer Aay have set a release date for their film. The film, which also stars Nayan Sarika in a prominent role, is slated to hit theatres on August 15.

The film’s supporting cast includes Ankith Koyya and Rajkumar Kasireddy. Earlier in May, the makers released a character teaser for Nithiin for the film. 

Aay is the 9th production for the banner GA2 Pictures, which has earlier produced popular films like Bhale Bhale Magadivoy (2015), Geetha Govindam (2018), Taxiwala (2018), and Most Eligible Bachelor (2021). The banner shared the release date on their X page, adding the caption, “Gear up to celebrate Godavari emotion, love, friendship & much more with the ultimate fun entertainer of the season. Aay movie grand release in theatres on Independence Day, August 15th!” Bunny Vas and Vidya Koppineedi are bankrolling the project, while Allu Aravind is presenting the film.

The upcoming film also marks the directorial debut for Anji Kanchipalli. Ram Miryala is the music director for the film. Art direction is by Kiran Kumar Manne, while cinematography is by Sameer Kalyani.

It is to be noted that it was Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa 2: The Rule that recently postponed its release from August 15 to December 6, hence opening up the release window for other filmmakers.
