The Nani-Samantha starrer romantic drama Yeto Vellipoyindhi Manasu will soon have a theatrical re-release. The Gautham Vasudev Menon directorial, which was originally released in 2012, will hit theatres again on August 2. The re-release is being done by Lakshmi Narasimha Movies.

Yeto Vellipoyindhi Manasu was Gautham Vasudev Menon’s third Telugu film. Produced under the banner of Teja Cinemas, Yeto Vellipoyindhi Manasu was simultaneously shot in Tamil, titled Neethaane En Ponvasantham, where Jiiva played the male protagonist.

The film has music by Iliayaraaja and remains the only Gautham Vasudev Menon film with his music direction. The cinematography was by MS Prabhu. The film also marked the second and last collaboration to date between Nani and Samantha, who had previously worked together in SS Rajamouli’s Eega (2012).

Meanwhile, Gautham Vasudev Menon awaits the release of his ambitious action film Dhruva Natachathiram, starring Vikram. The Vikram starrer has not yet been released despite being complete due to the financial crisis faced by the makers at several stages.
