Raj Tarun will soon be seen headlining the action-drama Purushothamudu that is slated for a theatrical release on July 26. The makers of the film released the trailer on Thursday. Written and directed by Ram Bhimana, Purushothamudu revolves around a mild-mannered young man who arrives in a small village, and wins over everyone with his goodness and generosity. However, the villagers soon learn of the protagonist's true identity which is far from that of a humble villager. Soon outcast by the villagers, the protagonist rises back to win their trust again, and gradually become their saviour at a time of crisis.

As evident in the trailer, Purushothamudu boasts of a massive ensemble cast that includes names like Prakash Raj, Ramya Krishnan, Murali Sharma, Mukesh Khanna, Raja Ravindra, Brahmaji, and Brahmanandam among others. The film also marks the debut for its female lead Hasini.

The film is being produced by Ramesh Tejawat and Prakash Tejawat under the banner Shree Sridevi Productions. The cinematography is by PG Vinda and editing is by Marthand K Venkatesh. Gopi Sundar is the music director.

Besides Purushothamudu, Raj Tarun will also soon be seen in the upcoming action-drama Tiragabadara Saami.
