The makers of Committee Kurrollu announced a release date for their film on Friday. The film, which marks the maiden feature production for Niharika Konidela, will hit theatres on August 9. Niharika is producing this film under her banner Pink Elephant Pictures, in association with Shree Radha Damodar Studios. The production banner shared the update on their X page, adding the caption, “Get ready to experience a rollercoaster ride of emotions with our Committee Kurrollu in the Theatres.”

The teaser for the film was released a couple of weeks ago. The film, set against a rural backdrop, promises to tell a coming-of-age story of a few young boys and girls amidst a major socio-political upheaval in their village. Written and directed by Yadhu Vamsi, Committee Kurrollu features debutants Sandeep Saroj, Yashwanth, and Eshwar Trinath Varma in prominent roles.

Additionally, the film’s ensemble cast includes names like Sai Kumar, Goparaju Ramana, Balagam Jayaram, Sri Lakhsmi, Kancherapalem Kishore, Kittayya, Ramana Bhargav, and Jabardasth Sathipandu. Writer duo Venkata Subhash Cheerla and Kondal Rao Addagalla have penned the dialogue. Anwar Ali is the editor.

Committee Kurrollu is slated to be the sole big Telugu release on August 9, as yet.
