Dhruva Vaayu, who made his directorial debut with the 2022 film Kerosene, is now gearing up for his second directorial venture, titled Kalinga. The first look of the film, which also stars Dhruva as the lead actor, was launched on Tuesday. Legendary writer KV Vijayendra Prasad and renowned writer Mamidi Harikrishna did the honours for the Kalinga team, also officially unveiling the film’s title.

The first-look poster sees the protagonist (played by Dhruva Vaayu) looking intense, standing in front of a huge statue of a deity and holding a flambeau. Kalinga is being produced by Deepthi Kondaveeti and Pruthivi Yadav under the Big Hit Productions banner. Pragya Nayan plays the female lead in the film.

Actors like Adukalam Naren, Muralidhar Goud, Lakshman Meesala, Thanikella Bharani, Shiju AR, Sammeta Gandhi, Balgam Sudhakar, Sanjay Krishna, and Harishchandra comprise the supporting cast. The cinematography and editing will be helmed by Akshay Ram Podishetty and Naresh Venuvanka. Vishnu Sekhara and Anantha Narayanan AG are the music directors for the film.
