Actor Dulquer Salmaan's upcoming film Lucky Baskhar, directed by Venky Atluri, will hit screens earlier than its previous release date.

Dulquer released an official poster stating that the film will be released on September 7, on the occasion of Vinayaka Chaturthi.

The heist-drama was earlier planned to be released on September 27.

Lucky Baskhar marks Dulquer’s third venture in Telugu cinema; he has earlier worked in big-scale movies like Mahanati (2018) and Sita Ramam (2022), both of which were period movies as well. The upcoming film also stars Meenakshi Chaudhary in a prominent role.

Set in the late 1980's and early 1990's, the film promises to chronicle the extraordinary life journey of a simple bank cashier (played by Dulquer Salmaan). Reportedly, the film is in the final leg of shooting.

Lucky Baskhar is written and directed by Venky Atluri, who last directed the 2023 Dhanush starrer Vaathi. GV Prakash Kumar has composed the music for the film. Nimish Ravi is the cinematographer for the film, while the editing is done by Navin Nooli. Balan is the art director.

Naga Vamsi S and Sai Soujanya, who have bankrolled the project under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, are planning a pan-India release for the film.
