Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma took to his X handle to update about the completion of the censor board formalities for his upcoming political drama Vyuham.

The Shiva filmmaker, in his trademark irreverent style, uploaded a picture of him holding the Vyuham censor certificate copy in one hand while holding a fake gun in the other. The final duration of Vyuham stands at 2 hours and 2 minutes.

Vyuham is based on the true events surrounding the death of YS Rajasekhara Reddy, the former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, in 2009. The film’s primary cast comprises Ajmal Amir, Manasa Radhakrishnan, Dhanunjay Prabhune, Surabhi Prabhavati, Rekha Surekha, Vasu Inturi, Kota Jayaram, and Elina Tuteja. Sajeesh Rajendra is the cinematographer for the film, while Manish Thakurr helms the editing. Music has been composed by Anand.

Ram Gopal Varma’s last directorial venture was the 2022 film Dangerous, which revolved around two women who fall in love with each other and end up hatching a violent plan in order to pursue their relationship.

Produced under the banner of RGV Den, Vyuham is scheduled to hit theatres on Saturday, March 2.
