Mahesh Babu is all praise for the latest web-series Poacher

Poacher is based on the true events around Operation Shikar, an investigation carried out between 2015 and 2017 that led to one of the largest ivory seizures in the country

Poacher, the latest Malayalam web series created by Richie Mehta, has been receiving a lot of praise from critics and audiences alike. The latest join the show’s group of fans is Mahesh Babu.

The Guntur Kaaram actor took to his social media page on Tuesday to praise the show, and the themes it explores. The actor stated in his Instagram post, “‘How can anyone do it... Don't their hands quiver?’ Questions like these keep circling in my mind after watching #Poacher... A poignant call-to-action urging us to protect these gentle giants. #POACHER Unveils the gripping tale behind the largest ivory bust in Indian history.”

The script of Poacher is inspired by the true events around Operation Shikar, an investigation carried out between 2015 and 2017 that led to one of the largest ivory seizures in the country.

Featuring Nimisha Sajayan and Roshan Mathews in prominent roles, Poacher premiered on Amazon Prime on February 23. The show’s ensemble cast includes actors like Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Kani Kusruti, Ranjitha Menon, and Maala Parvathi. Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt too was part of the project as an executive producer.
