The makers of the upcoming film Yatra 2, starring Mammootty and Jiiva in the lead roles, have released the trailer of the film.

The 2.46-minute-long trailer gives a rudimentary idea of what Yatra 2 will be about. The film follows the story of the current Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, and his political journey portrayed by Mammootty. Additionally, the trailer shows how Jiiva’s character is lured into politics and the difficulties he has to face from the opposition parties, who even attempt to discourage him from entering the field of politics.

Yatra 2, the sequel, will tell the story of the incumbent Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, essayed by actor Jiiva.

Directed by Mahi V Raghav, Yatra 2 is produced by Shiva Meka under the banner V Celluloid and Three Autumn Leaves. Ketaki Narayan, Suzanne Bernert, and Mahesh Manjrekar form the supporting cast of the film.

The technical crew of the film comprises Santhosh Narayanan (music), R Madhie (cinematographer), Shravan Katikanen (editor) and Selva Kumar (Production design)

The film will hit the theatres on February 8.
