Rana Daggubati launches the first look of Baapu

The rural Telangana dark comedy is backed by Comrade Film Factory

Rana Daggubati launched the first look of Baapu, the third production from Comrade FIlm Factory, on Monday. The film, billed as a rural dark comedy, is written and directed by Dayakar Reddy. The drama stars Kethiri Sudhakar Reddy, Brahmaji, Dhanya Balakrishna, Mani Aegurla, Aamani, among others. The film has a tagline - “A father’s suicide story” indicating that the film has bigger stakes and a core emotion.

Rana Daggunati posted the first look of Baapu and wrote, “Get ready for a perfect blend of dark humor, shocking twists, and chaotic family drama that will leave you entertained and surprised!”

The poster features Kethiri Sudhakar Reddy of Balagam fame sitting infront of a table with a conceited look. The family consisting of Brahmaji as Mallayya, Mani Aegurla, Aamani and Dhanya Balakrishna surrounding him. There are various dishes and alcohol on the table. 

Baapu has cinematography by Vasu Pandem, music by RR Dhruvan and editing by Aalayam Anil. The film is produced by Raju and Ch Bhanu Prasad Reddy of Comrade Film Factory. The makers are yet to announce a release date.
