The Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa 2 is making waves on multiple levels, besides continuing to register record-breaking collections in its fourth week at the boxoffice. On Saturday, at the ongoing Test match between India and Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), cricketer Nitish Kumar Reddy played a significant role with his innings, helping India avoid a follow-on, and celebrated his 50-run mark as well as century moment in a rather filmy style.
Upon reaching 50, Nitish struck the iconic ‘Jhukega nahi’ pose from Pushpa. Later, as he completed his century, the batter did the pose from the Prabhas films Salaar and Baahubali, bowing down and accepting the applause from the audience.
This is not the first time the paths of cricket and the Allu Arjun starrer franchise have crossed. A few years ago, around the time Pushpa: The Rise released, Australian opener David Warner had famously shared reels on Instagram, with him doing the popular ‘Srivalli’ dance step, originally done by Allu Arjun, as well as the ‘Jhukega nahi saala’ gesture.
