The makers of Nandamuri Kalyan Ram’s next, tentatively titled as NKR 21, revealed on Friday that Sohail Khan is playing the villain role in the film. The film marks Sohail Khan’s debut in Telugu cinema. The makers made the announcement on the occasion of Khan’s birthday and wrote, “Wishing the evildoer in NKR 21, Sohail Khan, a very Happy Birthday. Welcome to Telugu Cinema, sir. We are delighted to have you on board.”

NKR 21 is written and directed by Pradeep Chilukuri whose last theatrical outing was Raja Cheyyi Vesthe, starring Nara Rohith and the late Nandamuri Taraka Ratna. The makers also announced a few months ago that Vijayashanti plays an IPS officer in the film. The makers released a glimpse of her fierce character with voice over by Kalyan Ram. The film also stars Saiee Manjrekar in a lead role.

Billed as an action drama, NKR 21 is produced by Ashok Vardhan Muppa and Sunil Balusu under the banners Ashoka Creations and NTR Arts. Ajaneesh Loknath is composing music for the film. The cinematography is by Ram Prasad, while editing is by Thammiraju. Srikanth Vissa is the screenplay writer for the film.
