Amidst the ongoing court proceedings in the Allu Arjun case where the actor was presented in Nampally court regarding the stampede incident on December 4, actors Nani, Varun Dhawan and Rahul Ramakrishna voiced their support for the Pushpa 2 actor and slammed the Telangana government.

Nani took to social media and wrote, “I wish the kind of enthusiasm government authorities and media show in anything related to people from cinema was also there for the regular citizens. We would have lived in a better society. That was an unfortunate incident and it was heart breaking. We should all learn from the disaster and be lot more careful here after and introduce measures to make sure this doesn’t happen again. We are all at fault here. One person is not responsible for this.”

Actor Varun Dhawan has also condemned the arrest and said, “This incident is sad. Actors alone cannot take care of security and other issues. They only advise those around them to be careful. It is unfair to blame only one person.”

Actor Rahul Ramakrishna too condemned the proceedings by the state authorities and said, “The failure of law and order is not one man’s fault or responsibility. Aren’t cinemas and theatres public spaces? Isn’t an individual allowed to visit one according to their choice? Regardless of the star’s appearance and the tragic incident, why did the police let such a huge crowd run amok in the first place? Was it uninformed and ignorant of the size and scale of the film’s release? To say that would mean they have to appear unprepared. It is a tactic of the State to lay blame easily on soft targets like film celebrity figures and thereby avoid responsibility of the consequences of events and actions it allowed and permitted in the first place.”

Many Telugu industry heavyweights, producers, directors arrived at the Nampally Court to support Allu Arjun. Dil Raju, Naga Vamsi, Mythri Ravi Shankar, Trivikram Srinivas were spotted.

Allu Arjun was arrested due to the stampede incident that occured during Pushpa 2’s premiere at Sandhya theatre, Hyderabad on December 4. A case was registered against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management based on a complaint from the deceased’s family. At Sandhya theatre, the chaos claimed the life of 35-year-old Revathi and left her 9 year old son, Tej, critically injured. Authorities say that the unannounced arrival of star Allu Arjun with the team and the negligence in implementing adequate security measures by the theatre led to the tragedy.
