Navdeep’s Dhandoraa launched with a pooja ceremony

The film is billed as a rural drama that will explore the theme of age-old traditions and customs

Navdeep is collaborating with Colour Photo producers Loukya Entertainments for one of his upcoming films, titled Dhandoraa. The film was officially launched on Wednesday at Ramanaidu Studios. Among others, eminent producer Naga Vamsi attended the launch ceremony.

Loukya Entertainments is headed by Ravindra Banerjee Muppaneni, who had also produced the 2012 hit Bedurulanka. Dhandoraa marks 5th film project for the production house. On the occasion, the makers also launched a concept poster for their film, with the caption, “When caste is based on the work you do, if the work changes, shouldn't the caste also change? A tale of traditions, conflicts, and change. Dhandoraa is here to ignite conversations and reflections. Shoot begins soon!”

Billed as a rural drama set in Telangana, Dhandoraa is directed by Muralikanth. Reportedly, the film will attempt to explore the theme of archaic customs and traditions with a hint of satire. Besides Navdeep, the film features Sivaji, Rahul Ramakrishna, Ravi Krishna, Manika Chikkala and Anusha. 

On the technical front, Venkat R Shakamuri is the cinematography while Garry BH is the editor. Mark K Robin has been signed as the music composer. The film's other crew members include Krathi Priyam as the art director and Rekha Boghavarapu as the costume designer.
