Dev Gill, known for his work in films like Magadheera and Genius, is gearing up for his next release, Aho Vikramaarka, where he plays the male lead. The film, slated for an August 30 release, is directed by Peta Trikoti. During a recent media interaction, the filmmaker talked about how they zeroed in the concept for the film, keeping Dev Gill’s image in mind.

Talking about his film’s lead actor, Peta Trikoti stated, “Dev Gill is often associated with villanous roles, so we thought a lot about which genre would suit him as a hero.” Trikoti further spoke about how they decided to go with a police officer story, after realising that a family drama wouldn’t be suitable to his persona. The director said, “I’ve tailored this story as a commercial film for Dev Gill. He always wanted to act as a hero,” adding that Dev Gill too gave his share of inputs for the script.

Peta Trikoti, who has previously made films like Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya and Juvva, worked as an associate director on Magadheera, Baahubali franchise, and RRR.
