Mufasa: The Lion King’s Telugu trailer featuring Mahesh Babu’s voice is out

Mufasa: The Lion King, an upcoming prequel to the 2019 remake of The Lion King, is set to globally release on December 20

The iconic animated film, The Lion King, had a remake in 2019, and now, the makers are coming with another outing titled, Mufasa: The Lion King, which is simultaneously a prequel and sequel to its predecessor. The Telugu dubbed version features Mahesh Babu voicing Mufasa, and that has got Telugu audiences excited for the film. The makers dropped the trailer for the Telugu version on August 26.  

The trailer for Mufasa: The Lion King tells the story of how Taka, a lion cub who later becomes the infamous villain Scar, saves the orphan cub Mufasa. It examines the close, brotherly bond that develops between Taka and Mufasa. The duo and a gang of misfits embark on a journey to find their destiny.

Mufasa: The Lion King also has the voices of Brahmanandam as Pumbaa and Ali as Timon. The film, directed by Barry Jenkins, is set to storm global theatres on December 20.
