Sudheer Babu, who recently headlined the crime drama Harom Hara, will next be seen playing the lead role in a supernatural thriller titled Jatadhara. The makers officially announced the film’s title on Saturday, also unveiling the first look of their film. 

The first look features a bare-chested Sudheer Babu holding a trident and giving an intense look, against the backdrop of a giant statue of Lord Shiva. By the looks of it, Jatadhara promises to be intense thriller with heavy religious overtones and a spiritual element.

Jatadhara will mark the directorial debut for filmmaker Venkat Kalyan. The film is being jointly bankrolled by Ujjwal Anand, Prerna Arora, Shivin Narang and Nikhil Nanda. Jatadhara is being planned as a bilingual film, and will be shot in Hindi and Telugu simultaneously. The makers are yet to announce details about the film’s primary cast.

The makers also informed in their social media update that they are planning to begin the shoot soon, and are aiming to release the film on the occasion of Maha Shivratri next year.
