The makers of Vijay Raja’s upcoming film Zero unveiled the first glimpse of their film on Wednesday. The film, produced by R Lakshman Rao and Srinu under the banner of Sai Vila Cinemas, promises to be a gritty and realistic sports drama. 

Zero features Vijay Rana in the lead role of an athlete, someone who could never fully achieve his potential yet completely understands the struggles and adversities faced by some of the most talented athletes in India. The glimpse video centers on a conversation between the protagonist and his apathetic friend who bemoans the many facilities athletes enjoy, only to be schooled by the protagonist about the true hardships sportsmen face all the time.

The makers also incorporate commentary about a true incident, related to the ill-treatment of sportsmen when they tried to protest against a highly influential minister. Laxmi Narayana C is the writer and director for Zero.

The ensemble cast of the film includes Rajendra Prasad, Amani, Sivaji Raja, Sampath Raj, Elsa Ghosh, Roopa Lakshmi and Vinay Mahadev. Sai Karthik is the music director, while editing is helmed by Marthand K Venkatesh. Damu Narravala is the cinematographer.

The makers of Zero haven’t set a release date for their film yet.
