Filmmaker Aditya Hasan, who rose to fame with the ETV Win Original series 90s - A Middle-Class Biopic, will be making his feature debut with a slice-of-life entertainer titled Teacher. Swathi Reddy, who was previously seen in Month of Madhu opposite Naveen Chandra, plays the titular role. The makers of Teacher unveiled a poster on the occasion of Sri Rama Navami on Wednesday. The poster features a quaint rural backdrop, with students riding their bicycles to school.

Teacher revolves around three mischievous students in a Telangana village, named Ankapur. How their lives transform under the aegis of a wise teacher, played by Swathi, forms the crux of the story. Nikhil Devadula (Baahubali), Nitya Sri (Care of Kancherapalem), and Siddharth of 90s fame, along with Rajender Goud, Harsha, Pawon Ramesh, Narender Nagpuri, and Suresh play supporting roles in the film.

Teacher is produced by Naveen Medaram. Aditya Hasan has also recently penned the Telugu dialogues of the dubbed version of Premalu. Siddharth Sadasivuni is the music director of the film, with cinematography by Azeem Mohammad, editing by Arun Thachoth and production design by Tipoji Divya.
