Mr Pregnant, the Telugu film starring Syed Sohel Ryan and Roopa Koduvayur in the lead roles, will stream on Prime Video from October 6 onwards. The film is written and directed by debutant Srinivas Vinjanampati. 

Loosely based on the life of Thomas Beatie, a trans man who hit the news back in the day for birthing his children, Mr Pregnant aims to talk about the importance of motherhood and the necessity for men to empathise with women more through the format of a love story with elements of comedy and action. The film that hit the theatres on August 18 opened to mixed reception. The CE review of Mr Pregnant described it as "A silly presentation of a shocking concept."

Produced by Appi Reddy and Ravireddy Sajjala, the film also stars Suhasini Maniratnam, Raja Rabindra, Brahmaji, Ali and Harsha, among others. The film has music composed by Shravan Bharadwaj, with cinematography by Nizar Shafi and editing by Prawin Pudi. 

While Sohel was last seen in Organic Mama Hybrid Alludu, Mr Pregnant is Roopa Koduvayur's second film after the 2020 Venkatesh Maha film Uma Maheshwara Ugra Roopasya.
