In the light of multiple delays and release date postponements happening across the Telugu film industry, the makers of VD 13 also called SVC 54, have announced on Wednesday that they have wrapped 50 per cent of their film's shoot. They also assured fans that they have no intentions of stepping back from their originally scheduled Sankranti release date window.

The makers of the film have also announced that the film's title and first look will be out very soon. VD 13 stars Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur in the lead roles. It is the first time the duo will be working together on a film. VD 13 is directed by Parsuram. Parsuram has previously worked with Vijay in the 2018 family entertainer Geeta Govindam. VD 13 is produced by Dil Raju under the banner Sree Venkateshwara Creations. 

Gopi Sundar, who has also worked in Geeta Govindam, will be composing music for the film. KV Mohanan is the cinematographer of VD 13, with editing by Marthand K Venkatesh and production design by AS Prakash.
