 Nithya Menen's Kumari Srimathi trailer unveiled

The trailer of Kumari Srimathi, an upcoming web series headlined by Nithya Menen, was unveiled on Friday. The Prime Original series will be streaming from September 28. Kumari Srimathi also stars Gauthami, Praneeta Pattnaik, Thiruveer, Naresh, Murali Mohan and Nirupam Paritala. The series, originally shot in Telugu, will also be released in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. The series is going to have seven episodes of forty minutes each. 

The trailer shows us that Kumari Srimathi is set in a village in the East Godavari district. Nithya Menen plays the titular role of a 30-year-old woman. She is shown rejecting wedding matches set by her mother (Gauthami). Karthika Deepam-fame actor Nirupam Paritala plays Nithya's brother while Praneeta Pattnaik plays her sister. The series revolves around Srimathi trying to raise funds to buy her ancestral home back by opening a bar. 

Kumari Srimathi is produced by Swapna Dutt and Priyanka Dutt under the banner Early Monsoon Tales. Early Monsoon Tales is the web division of their home banner Swapna Cinema. Actor, writer and filmmaker Srinivas Avasarala serves as the showrunner, while Gomtesh Upadhyay is the director.
